It's the story of his childhood as life was back then, and through to his teen years, when he is of age to start working and to join the Irish Naval Reserve.
It's the story of his career as it progresses through the years, sent to the UK to study Footwear Manufacture in Design and Pattern-Cutting. Then migrates to the UK, where over the years, he becomes Technical Director of his Footwear Factory.
He then works for the United Nations and he builds a Footwear Factory in the West Indies. He conducts a survey of the whole of the Caribbean Islands.
Upon completion of the UN Project, Tomas O'Mordha goes to the USA, his Head Quarters is in one of the Twin Towers in New York. He is sent to the Far East as Footwear Consultant for Foreign Imports to the US.
He then migrates to Australia to the City of Melbourne, where he becomes a Teacher/ Lecturer of Footwear and Design. He also teaches Management Studies.
The story is about meeting his wife, Marie Anne who lives in Melbourne in the same town as himself. The story is about their lives in Melbourne, their careers and travels. Moving to Ireland upon his retirement, the story continues in Ireland.
The new Country, the work & the people, the Celtic Tiger years and Peace in Ireland, the New Millennium, when Tomas O'Mordha passes away on his 92nd year.
He is the Grand-son of Thomas Moore, from Drogheda, who played in the GAA Match of 1912, winning the all-Ireland match, with 13,000 spectators looking on.
Tomas O'Mordha is also Uncle to the Hollywood Film Director, John Moore who produced many films for 20th Century Fox.
