Charles Benson's 'Directory of Printing and Bookselling in Dublin 1801 - 1850' remained unfinished at his untimely death in 2018 and what remains, though available for consultation in TCD, is not considered publishable in its current form. It has been decided that his PhD, suitably brought up to date by a team of five scholars, will be published in his memory by the Bibliographical Society in London and The Lilliput Press. The situation is analogous to that of Benson's predecessor in TCD and scholarship, Mary Pollard, whose book, Dublin's Trade in Books 1550-1800 was followed by her Dictionary in 2000.

Written with pathos and humour, Girls Like You is a reflection on growing up in the early 1970s in the Irish Midlands. It is a story of love and loss, secrecy and abandonment, forgiveness and integration. It deals with the fallout of this period of Irish history on one individual and her immediate family while exposing the cost of an Irish solution to an Irish problem, a cost which still reverberates in society today as the truth slowly trickles out.
