Limerick's history stretches back over 1,000 years. It is famed for pigs and poetry, but only the surface of the history has been scratched. This book looks at the forgotten past such as the story of the deer that ran amok through the streets of Limerick City and the man who was sentenced to work in a bog. These are the stories that were passed down through families but never made it into print.
