McCormack’s house, Farranrory Upper, Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary, on 29 July 1848 and the bringing of the tricolour flag from Paris by Thomas Francis Meagher.
The house is now a national monument known as The Famine Warhouse 1848.
This monumental work brings the Young Irelanders from the cradle to the grave. It is the literary legacy of the Young Irelanders and their intense love of Ireland, rather than their prowess as soldiers, which endures.
