Seán Breandán Ó hUallacháin was born and raised in Glanworth in Co. Cork. He is a graduate of University College Cork where he was awarded a B.A., M.Phil, A.T.O. and Ph.D. He has also been awarded the Vocational Certificate in Irish (TTG).
Coiscéim have published two other titles by Seán Breandán Ó hUallacháin: Pobal an Stáit agus an Ghaeilge 1920 – '39 (2010), and Tagairtí Gaeilge i Nuachtáin an Stáit, 1920 – '39 (2012).
