New Wave Mental Maths is a series of seven pupil workbooks from Senior Infants to 6th Class, written to provide comprehensive coverage of mental maths concepts required by the mathematics curriculum. Each book contains a 40-week mental maths and problem-solving programme designed to develop, strengthen and consolidate pupils' mathematical skills and concepts.

The Sounds in Focus Scrapbook complements the Exploring Sounds phase of the Infants Programme. Pupils complete Pre-reading and Pre-writing Activities on the first side of each page on the day that they learn the corresponding sound. They then engage in an art activity on the reverse side of the page. The page is detached from the book and taken home each day to show parents the sound for the day.

Each book contains 32 weeks of work, arranged into four units. Seven weeks of each unit begin with a new ‘Skill Focus’, addressing a key language concept. Each day, the first two questions will reinforce and consolidate this language concept. The rest of the daily questions will cover common skills of English.
