In the summer of 1969, on the beaches of west Cork. Three young people are brought together, three people whose lives are fundamentally changed when a fourth person, the grandson of the General, joins them. Ten years later, the story ends with the General on his deathbed. This is a story of love and tragedy set in a parallel world, not very different to our own.
