During the Irish War for Independence, Christopher and Nell Flinter are recruited by the IRA. As Dublin city burns around them, they soon realise that the British army is not their most dangerous enemy. A spectre from the past has come back to torment them - the serial killer they left for dead in the tunnels under the Monto.
