Mullingar is the fifth in the Irish Historic Towns Atlas series, which assembles topographical documentations on the development of Irish towns and publishes them as individual fascicles.

The Burren in County Clare contains one of the densest concentrations of archaeological remains in Ireland in quite a compact area, which makes it ideal for those who want a whirlwind tour of 10,000 years of human activity. Full location information, including maps and GPS co-ordinates, is provided for all 40 sites discussed.

Round Towers are the only form of architecture unique to Ireland. The remains of over seventy survive, widely distributed throughout the island, from Cork to Antrim, in some of the most beautiful and historic areas of the country. They are listed county by county, allowing readers to locate towers in the immediate area and explore.

Forty extracts from John Rocque's detailed map of Dublin, dating to 1756, are reproduced with accompanying commentaries and illustrations.

Presents the results of the analysis of the animal bone assemblage from excavations of the medieval settlement at Knowth, Co Meath. This title provides an opportunity to review the zooarchaeological evidence for Early Christian Ireland and to place the Knowth results in context.
