The old ruined, sinister, Hellfire Club, hauntingly located on Montpelier Hill in the Dublin Mountains, has long been a source of wonderment, not least because of the many tales of terror. From its position, one has an unparalleled view of the city of Dublin and the surrounding hills, woods, forests, as well as the treacherous and winding roads in its vicinity.
Current lore insists that the Devil himself made a brief appearance here. In fact, there have been many tales of deals with the Devil, Satanism, orgies, and human sacrifice. For it was to here that members of the notorious and mysterious Hellfire Club escaped to dance, carouse, gamble, shoot, and engage excessively in eating, drinking, debauchery, whoring and murder.
