Two of her aunts trained with William Morris so she grew up steeped in literature and above all in aesthetics and philosophy of the Arts & Crafts movement. Anne was influenced by Braque, Modigliani, Matisse, Pollock, Klee et al; her own modernist work has been much overlooked. This publication is an attempt to redress this and to show her range and something of her life’s work.
